This is an explorative project into 3D printing and using LED strips. The LED strip is fixed to the inner surface of the 3D printed object facing down. The light is reflected by the curvature of the base and reflected up though the cavity causing the structure to glow. The pattern of shadows is caused by the internal support structures of the 3D print and adds to the effect by creating a texture to the glow. A potentiometer at the rear of the object controls the hue of coloured light emitted by the RGB colour combination of the LEDs.
